1:1ThesebethewordswhichMosesspakeuntoallIsraelonthissideJordaninthewilderness，intheplainoveragainsttheRedsea，betweenParan，andTophel，andLaban，andHazeroth，andDizahab.

1:3Anditcametopassinthefortiethyear，intheeleventhmonth，onthefirstdayofthemonth，thatMosesspakeuntothechildrenofIsrael，accordinguntoallthattheLORDhadgivenhiminmandmentuntothem;

1:4AfterhehadslainSihonthekingoftheAmorites，whichdweltinHeshbon，andOgthekingofBashan，whichdweltatAstarothinEdrei:

1:5OnthissideJordan，inthelandofMoab，beganMosestodeclarethislaw，saying，

1:8Behold，Ihavesetthelandbeforeyou:goinandpossessthelandwhichtheLORDswareuntoyourfathers，Abraham，Isaac，andJacob，togiveuntothemandtotheirseedafterthe

1:9AndIspakeuntoyouatthattime，saying，Iamnotabletobearyoumyselfalone:

1:10TheLORDyourGodhathmultipliedyou，and，behold，yearethisdayasthestarsofheavenformultitude.

1:17Yeshallnotrespectpersonsinjudgment;butyeshallhearthesmallaswellasthegreat;yeshallnotbeafraidofthefaceofman;forthejudgmentisGods:andthecausethatistoohardforyou，bringituntome，andIwillhearit.

1:18AndImandedyouatthattimeallthethingswhichyeshoulddo.

1:19AndwhenwedepartedfromHoreb，wewentthroughallthatgreatandterriblewilderness，whichyesawbythewayofthemountainoftheAmorites，astheLORDourGodmandedus;andwecametoKadeshbarnea.

1:20AndIsaiduntoyou，YeareeuntothemountainoftheAmorites，whichtheLORDourGoddothgiveuntous.

1:21Behold，theLORDthyGodhathsetthelandbeforethee:goupandpossessit，astheLORDGodofthyfathershathsaiduntothee;fearnot，neitherbediscouraged.

1:22Andyecamenearuntomeeveryoneofyou，andsaid，Wewillsendmenbeforeus，andtheyshallsearchusouttheland，andbringuswordagainbywhatwaywemustgoup，andintowhatcitiesweshalle.

1:23Andthesayingpleasedmewell:andItooktwelvemenofyou，oneofatribe:

1:24Andtheyturnedandwentupintothemountain，andcameuntothevalleyofEshcol，andsearcheditout.

1:25Andtheytookofthefruitofthelandintheirhands，andbroughtitdownuntous，andbroughtuswordagain，andsaid，ItisagoodlandwhichtheLORDourGoddothgiveus.

1:26Notwithstandingyewouldnotgoup，butrebelledagainstthemandmentoftheLORDyourGod:

1:27Andyemurmuredinyourtents，andsaid，BecausetheLORDhatedus，hehathbroughtusforthoutofthelandofEgypt，todeliverusintothehandoftheAmorites，todestroyus.

1:28Whithershallwegoup?ourbrethrenhavediscouragedourheart，saying，Thepeopleisgreaterandtallerthanwe;thecitiesaregreatandwalleduptoheaven;andmoreoverwehaveseenthesonsoftheAnakimsthere.

1:29ThenIsaiduntoyou，Dreadnot，neitherbeafraidofthe

1:30TheLORDyourGodwhichgoethbeforeyou，heshallfightforyou，accordingtoallthathedidforyouinEgyptbeforeyoureyes;

1:31Andinthewilderness，wherethouhastseenhowthattheLORDthyGodbarethee，asamandothbearhisson，inallthewaythatyewent，untilyecameintothisplace.

1:32YetinthisthingyedidnotbelievetheLORDyourGod，

1:33Whowentinthewaybeforeyou，tosearchyououtaplacetopitchyourtentsin，infirebynight，toshewyoubywhatwayyeshouldgo，andinacloudbyday.

1:34AndtheLORDheardthevoiceofyourwords，andwaswroth，andsware，saying，

1:35Surelythereshallnotoneofthesemenofthisevilgenerationseethatgoodland，whichIswaretogiveuntoyourfathers.
