1:1Paul，antleofJesusChristbythewillofGod，accordingtothepromiseoflifewhichisinChristJesus，

1:2ToTimothy，mydearlybelovedson:Grace，mercy，andpeace，fromGodtheFatherandChristJesusourLord.

1:3IthankGod，whomIservefrommyforefatherswithpureconscience，thatwithoutceasingIhaveremembranceoftheeinmyprayersnightandday;

1:4Greatlydesiringtoseethee，beingmindfulofthytears，thatImaybefilledwithjoy;

1:5WhenIcalltoremembrancetheunfeignedfaiththatisinthee，whichdweltfirstinthygrandmotherLois，andthymotherEunice;andIampersuadedthatintheealso.

1:6WhereforeIputtheeinremembrancethatthoustirupthegiftofGod，whichisintheebytheputtingonofmyhands.

1:7ForGodhathnotgivenusthespiritoffear;butofpower，andoflove，andofasoundmind.

1:8BenotthouthereforeashamedofthetestimonyofourLord，norofmehisprisoner:butbethoupartakeroftheafflictionsofthegospelaccordingtothepowerofGod;

1:9Whohathsavedus，andcalleduswithanholycalling，notaccordingtoourworks，butaccordingtohisownpurposeandgrace，whichwasgivenusinChristJesusbeforetheworldbegan，

1:10ButisnowmademanifestbytheappearingofourSaviourJesusChrist，whohathabolisheddeath，andhathbroughtlifeandimmortalitytolightthroughthegospel:

1:11WhereuntoIamappointedapreacher，andantle，andateacheroftheGentiles.

1:12ForthewhichcauseIalsosufferthesethings:neverthelessIamnotashamed:forIknowwhomIhavebelieved，andampersuadedthatheisabletokeepthatwhichIhavemitteduntohimagainstthatday.

1:13Holdfasttheformofsoundwords，whichthouhastheardofme，infaithandlovewhichisinChristJesus.

1:14ThatgoodthingwhichwasmitteduntotheekeepbytheHolyGhostwhichdwellethinus.

1:15Thisthouknowest，thatalltheywhichareinAsiabeturnedawayfromme;ofwhomarePhygellusandHermogenes.

1:16TheLordgivemercyuntothehouseofOnesiphorus;forheoftrefreshedme，andwasnotashamedofmychain:

1:17But，whenhewasinRome，hesoughtmeoutverydiligently，andfoundme.

1:18TheLordgrantuntohimthathemayfindmercyoftheLordinthatday:andinhowmanythingsheministereduntomeatEphesus，thouknowestverywell.

2:1Thoutherefore，myson，bestronginthegracethatisinChristJesus.

2:2Andthethingsthatthouhastheardofmeamongmanywitnesses，thesamemitthoutofaithfulmen，whoshallbeabletoteachothersalso.

2:3Thouthereforeendurehardness，asagoodsoldierofJesusChrist.

2:4Nomanthatwarrethentanglethhimselfwiththeaffairsofthislife;thathemaypleasehimwhohathchosenhimtobeasoldier.

2:5Andifamanalsostriveformasteries，yetishenotcrowned，excepthestrivelawfully.

2:6Thehusbandmanthatlabourethmustbefirstpartakerofthefruits.

2:7ConsiderwhatIsay;andtheLordgivetheeunderstandinginallthings.
